  • Polish workers in the UK strike and demonstrate outside Parliament to show their value to the UK economy whilst others participate in a drive to donate blood to the NHS. As anti-immigrant sentiment ramps up in the UK, many Poles have established Britain as their home and are making a positive contribution to the economy.

  • Victoria, London, May 26th 2015. London's cabbies protest near Transport For London's HQ in Victoria against what they say is unfair competition from less regulated minicab operators who are supposed to take only pre-booked fares but are picking up passengers off the street, and the peer to peer Uber taxi-booking app which is making operating a licenced London taxi unsustainable. They complain that minicab operators fcould be putting the lives of their passengers at risk because they do not have to meet the same standards and background checks as black cab operators.
